Kimling was born in 2005 from a simple but powerful idea — that great Asian cuisine, crafted with authenticity and care, could find a true home in Pune. Founded by John Chen, a hotel management graduate shaped by years in luxury five-star hospitality and international dining, Kimling at Lullanagar opened its doors with a clear vision: to honour traditional Chinese culinary techniques while embracing the vibrant, layered palate of the city.

What emerged was Kimling's signature style — a harmonious play of sweet, spicy, and savoury that quickly made it one of Pune's most loved dining destinations.

Built on an unwavering commitment to quality, consistency, and warm hospitality, the brand grew steadily in both reputation and heart. The next chapter came with Chaiyu Chen — our CoFounder ,

Chaiyu Chen — CoFounder

Computer Science Engg and an MBA who brought fifteen years of the software industry's discipline and thinking into the world of hospitality. Alongside her business partners Dheera and Manish, she brought fresh energy, entrepreneurial vision, and a bold ambition to take Kimling further. Under her leadership, the brand evolved beyond its Chinese roots to embrace the full, rich spectrum of Pan Asian cuisine — and with new addresses in Aundh and Pimple Saudagar, and dedicated cloud kitchens across the city, Kimling's flavours are never too far from wherever you are.

Two decades on, Kimling continues to evolve — staying true to its roots while embracing what's new. It remains, at its core, a place where food is crafted with passion, served with pride, and remembered long after the last bite.
